Released through R&S records in 2019, Colored is the first LP from Adam Longman Paker (aka Afriqua). The album, as referenced on the artist’s bandcamp page, is “a celebration of the unifying power of Black culture through the prism of electronic music.” We couldn't have put it better ourselves. The album highlights Parker’s affection for afrocentrism through strong use of sampling, suggestive titles and subtle musical homages scattered across what is ultimately an experimental electronica and techno/ house album. Fans of Caribou and Isan take note!
